LFSER Holds Its First General Meeting
The Lanka Foundation for Social and Educational Research (LFSER) successfully convened its First General Meeting on 25 November 2026, marking an important milestone in the formal establishment of the Foundation. The meeting was conducted via the Zoom online platform, in line with prevailing administrative practices. Members participated remotely, and all official documentation was duly endorsed through electronic signatures. Proceedings commenced with welcome and opening remarks, followed by the introduction of members. The meeting then focused on the presentation of LFSER’s vision and mission, outlining the Foundation’s commitment to advancing high-quality social and educational research in Sri Lanka. A key outcome of the meeting was the formal adoption of the Constitution, providing the legal and governance framework for the Foundation’s operations. Members also appointed the Executive Committee, ensuring leadership and oversight for the forthcoming phase of institutional development. In addition, the meeting reviewed and approved proposed upcoming projects, discussed financial and administrative matters, and addressed items under Any Other Business. The meeting concluded with closing remarks, reaffirming the collective commitment of members to LFSER’s mission and future activities.
